A wool sorter's term for the second-best sort of wool in the fleece. -
2 Spanish Merino
Spain is the home of the merino sheep. Its fleece is sorted into four sorts as follow: - 1. Refina, the choicest (picklock). 2. Fina, from the belly, hindquarters and thighs. 3. Terceira, from the head, throat, lower parts of the neck and shoulders. 4. Inferior, tufts from the forehead and cheeks, and from the tail and legs (see Spanish Wool)
